This room has been in a slow state of overhall - on a small scale -- since September when I secured the services of a handyman -- so the mirror, light fixtures and towel racks have been replaced.
The walls had been painted with Ralph Lauren suede which I loved, but they were done 10 years ago and the colour is out of "tint" so to speak -- so I tried to find something comparable in colour but had to forego the texture effect.
Not sure how I feel about it -- the photos make it look very yellowy and greeny -- reminds me a bit of some yucky diapers I've seen. Hmmmm -- not exactly what I was going for.
I was dreading the whole project -- haven't painted since I did Julia's nursery 6 years ago -- and long before that I had been a painting fiend -- did all the faux finishes and loved it. Then I had the hallyway/stairwell, living room and kitchen in my last townhouse painted -- I really liked the idea of only choosing the colours, buying the paint and leaving the rest to the professionals.
This wasn't so bad -- glad it was over in a day -- glad I didn't have a child underfoot while I was doing it. I have a feeling I'll be doing it again soon if the colour doesn't grow on me. But it's a start.

I like it! But before you think about re-painting, try throwing one of those "pink" lightbulbs in your fixture - it might add just the warm tone you're looking for.
