Moe and I were excited to be watching our Thursday night TV line up with a cocktail in hand. If we couldn't be in the sunny south enjoying a Pina Colada, a cooler at the Great Wolf Lodge was the next best thing. This proved to be difficult with coolers without twist tops.
Necessity is the mother of invention - desparately we improvised, and with minor spillage, were successful. For future visitor without bottle openers, we used the moose lamp. When in the wild.....
Silly me - instead of bringing a bottle opener, I brought some tests to mark. Hmmmmmm - go figure. What happened to the days of single gals travelling who would never have thought to leave without a bottle opener in the makeup bag.
Anyway I wanted to make the transition back to school a bit easier with no marking hanging over my head, so I've been dedicating some time each morning to some early morning marking. Report cards are just a few short weeks away, so I knew the sacrifice would be well worth it down the road a bit.
I woke up at my usual school day time and tried to be as quite as possible and no too intrusive with the light on in the little seating area on the other side of the wall from the beds. Lianne and Shauna can picture where I was on the little couch. I marked away until about 8 am when the girls woke up. Julia popped her head over the little half wall to ask me where Moe was. I said she's still in bed.
"No, she's not!" was the rousing chorus from the girls. "And she's not in the bathroom."
Which was not entirely true.......
Apparently my marking light drove my poor friend into the bathtub! She had nestled in with making a pillow mattress, closed the door and slept for an hour and a half. I couldn't believe it. It was one of the funniest things I had ever seen. Moe claims she had a great little sleep, all cozied in. Good thing she's short.

Okay, I am in the midst of my own "on vacation" work - usually done each evening after the girls' bed-time ... so I howled to read this post about poor Moe in the bathtub. And that bottle opener is the best!!!!! I could just imagine you cracking up.
Oh, and stay tuned tomorrrow for the details of our visit to see the endangered manatees.

I remember watching my cousin open a bottle of beer by putting the edge of the cap on the corner of a picnic table and then whacking it with his hand. Ouch. The moose opener is much more fun!
Laughed out loud at this post...too funny!!
As far as opening the bottle...where there is a will, there is a way! hehe
The tub bed looked so comfy...hahahaha!!
Have fun at school today....sigh...
