We observed Earth Hour from 8:30 pm to almost 10 pm last night -- lots of fun with flashlights and sparklers. The girls were delighted to be heading out in the dark -- not as dark as we thought it should be -- not everyone in our neighbourhood was as conscientious as we were.
Lianne was too funny yelling out "Earth Hour" as we passed the houses with lights on.
Here is our little house in darkness - we found out later that the bathroom light upstairs at the back of the house was left on. Ooopps!

Cassidy and Bryanna managed to swing some in the baby seat swings.

Alyse and Julia on a little night-time slide.

The cold moms, not playing tag, or sliding, or swinging, but longing for hot chocolate when we got home.

Hard to tell by we are playing the game Headbanz by flashlight.

Too early for Canada day --- Earth hour fun. A new tradition begins.
I love this one of Cassidy and Julia -- passing the light of one sparkler to the other -sort of like passing the torch -- kind of prophetic in a way. Let's hope.
