A wizard night!

In the novel Lord of the Flies some British school boy slang from the 1950s is used. One of my favourite examples is the use of "wizard" which is the equivelent of "cool". The boys say "This would make a wizard fort" and "Wizard!" when something exciting happens.

Since the who Harry Potter thing started -- how many years ago now?-- I've tried with each Gr. 9 class to launch "wizard" into the current teen vernacular.  They always laugh at me, and tease me a bit when they use it in class for my benefit.

But I think it's quite appropriate to use wizard as an adjective to describe Julia's first sleepover with Cassidy - solo!

They were too funny getting all cozied up with their pjs, robes and assorted blankets and pillows. The big attraction was Wizards of Waverly Place - The Movie on Family's Popcorn Pix.

Thanks to Lianne for the most excellent snack pack! Thumbs up from the girls.
I joined the girls on the couch and managed to get a couple of scoops of the popcorn.
Yes, most of the snacks were consumed by movie's end.
It was a wizard night! Can't wait for the next one!

Y'know, I didn't much like sleepovers when I was a kid. However if they'd looked as fun as this one, maybe I would have! I think I know that little wizardette on the left....
(you are so funny, and I'm TOTALLY going to start using "wizard" again!)
