Very important to observe Labour Day weekend with some labour. When we were kids, we used to go to the Labour Day parade in Sarnia -- big treat for us. This year we were in Southampton to bid farewell to the summer and leave our mark (so to speak) on the cottage.
Let the games begin, Team Elemental!
Shaun wowing us with his upper body strength. Look at those pipes!
We named our crew Team Elemental after the paint colour -
Benjamin Moore Elemental -
a colour that is sometimes green, sometimes cream, sometimes, beige --
all depending on the light.
There are no small painters -- just small rollers.
Many hands make light work -- I did paint too when I wasn't chronicling the event.
Even went to school this week on the first day with paint spots on hard to reach places.
Jack painting like he's Spiderman.
Goodbye Brown Swartzyplatz (the original name of the cottage).
We got the side and front of the cottage done the first day.
Day 2 - coming around the corner....
Owen's work on the back of the cottage.
Shaun's final strokes at about 9:15 on Sunday -
we did take a break to enjoy the last sunset of the summer.
Clean up crew.
The fruit of our labour.
(China Beach gals will notice that three trees are gone from front of cottage)
