Julia is all excited about Valentine's day - loves making the cards -- loves the baking, loves the decorating. She's my holiday gal!
Dear Jan and husband Paul took Julia to the zoo to see the Love Bug exhibit -- kids could bring a valentine to one of the bugs -- here's Julia's card for the Kissing Bug.

We made lots of cookies to share with our friends this weekend - this is a new shortbread recipe -- I've never done shortbread before -- a great success -- they are a dim memory now -- Yum Yum! I got a new cookie press that imprints the "Be mine" style messages that remind me of those candy hearts with the messages.
And we also did some tarting up of the Pilsbury Dough Boy kind -- rolled them in coloured sugar and Valentine's sparkles.
When I was a kid I would have KILLED for my own desk outfitted with Pink accessories to do my homework and keep up with my correspondence -- here's Julia doing her valentines for her class.

AM and Julia, what a wonderful time it is great to see the love of Valentines day. We too do it in our way but as you get older it is a little more casual! I still love the day. thanks for sharing all your adventures. Are you going home this coming weekend??? if so safe travels and enjoy.
