Dressing up!

Julia's tickle trunk - a bin of assorted costumes and accessories -- has been the source of many a fashion show, theatrical performance and transformation over the years. There's something to be said for being able to recreate yourself.

Love what these three came up with a month or so before Halloween...
So the stage was set for some serious Halloween costume shopping later that afternoon...I think though, as a look back, it was to appease the kids as some serious organization for the nation shopping was being done and the Halloween warehouse was next door... anyway, this is what the girls selected for Halloween 2010. Love the dueling Cleopatras, walking like Eygptians...
how do they even know this song?
Fast-forward a month and there were to be NO bare arms for Halloween night.
Julia has 4 layers beneath her gown.
But she's still able to strike her signature Cleo stance...
We had lots of fun with some glitter, sparkly false eye lashes and eye liner...
and BLUE eyeshadow.
Moe and I were bundled as well for our chilly night's walk.
The cold didn't seem to bother these two.
Spooky lights.
This was the coldest Halloween we've done.
This was the longest the girls stayed out.
This was the biggest haul - over 250 treats.
Hope you all stayed warm and had lots of spooky fun.

Great shots, you devilled egg, you!

(No costume for this mom...I guess I should one year before my 2 are too old to appreciate it!)

Fun! Great photos. And until I saw Lianne's comment I was going to ask for an explanation of your costume but now I get it! Too funny....
