The torch came to Aurora and Newmarket on Friday -- day 50 of the torch relay through Canada. It was a great way to celebrate the last day of school before Christmas holidays.
Julia came with me to school, and Marianne brought Ottilia and Camilla. Moe organized a big Olympic-style venue for the viewing of the torch by her school out on Yonge Street in Newmarket. So all the girlies got the chance to see the special torch.
Love this RBC bus shot - detailing the scope of the run -- 106 days -- almost half-way there when we saw it -- 45,000 km and 12,000 torch bearers. What an honour for those lucky buddies.
A quick post torch-recap with the girls.
It was 3 seconds of excellence -- loved every second of it. We hope to see the torch in Sarnia on Christmas Eve. We are happy to be part of the Olympic spirit.

(p.s. if you send me the original video, I'll rotate it for you....)
that is so cool, it came into Niagara today and we missed it because I had a respite kid arrive and no time to get up to the spot to see it. Cool that you got a chance. Take care, thanks for sharing
Came through Mississauga but I have to say I could not face what would have been necessary to see it here...darn these cold viruses that take away every ounce of energy!
Glad to see you having so much fun!!!!
