Surfin' USA - Dance recital

It's been a crazy month or so -- but between all the trips home, school, start up of soccer, we are finishing the dance activities for the year. 

Here is the first of Julia's two dance recitals this month. She and Alyse have been doing acro/jazz every Tuesday since September. They got a taste of it last summer when they went to dance camp for a week. Now they are hooked.

I took the girls to get manicures and pedicures yesterday, a little welcome summer treat and a chance to get doodled up for the big night. They performed at the Newmarket Theatre, just around the corner from my house, where they've gone to see many a performance.  They were over-the-top-excited to be performing on that stage themselves.

They danced to Surfin' USA - their costumes reminded me of Rainbow Fish - all sparkly shades of blue, white and silver. The pics don't do justice to the beach boppin' that was going on - video to follow.
