A great way to spend my birthday -- seeing a Broadway show Chicago style. It was "one -- singular sensation..."

The lights of the theatre district -- not quite Times Square --

We had dinner in our room -- my first taste of room service -- best tomato soup I've ever had with the mother of all grilled cheese sandwiches. Missed the shot when the meals arrived under silver lids. So stylin'.

Thinking green -- fashion forward - has been the theme of the trip -- all of us now have new green purses, except Lianne -- but still more shopping to do.

A stroll through Millenium Park -- a great spring day -- things are really blooming in Chicago. Note the jaunty green purse I'm sporting!

The painting behind us is called "Saturday Night" -- depicts good friends out and about spending their OWN money - much like like ourselves. A great painting to pay tribute to our friendship and this wonderful trip.

A famous Chicago landmark -- the bean...Shauna and Janet reflect - literally!

A miracle -- Lianne can walk on water!

My new prized possession -- my welcome-spring purse! Taken in the bathroom stall -- that's how much I LOVE it -- it goes with everything and goes everywhere :)

This painting reminded me of Julia --- tender moments!

Can't believe I've now seen this American icon.

Art appreciation abounds with these ladies.

We loved the audio tour.

Here we are in the lobby of The Drake -- where Oprah's guests often stay -- perhaps this is what jinxed us not getting on the show.

LOVE the purse! Hope you get yourself a snappy spring jacket or something to go with it.
Wandering around the art gallery looked fabulous. I always remember that scene from Ferris Buellers' Day Off where they're standing in front of the Georges Seurat painting, mesmerized by the texture of the paint.
What's next???
The purse is so nice! I am very into that colour green right now...
Happy belated birthday...looks like you had so much fun! :)
